Tail's by Zoey

Today was my first doctor appointment since 2012. I was way overdue! It was pretty uneventful. I'm almost 12 lbs but am still a bit underweight. I tested positive for a type of tick bite, but it's not Lyme disease, so yay there. I go back in two weeks for a weight check. until then it's ice cream until i drop! just kidding.... I find out on Weds if i need antibiotics, so paws crossed i don't.

Other than that, it was a relatively peaceful day. Some shopping at pet smart, lunch and a playdate with Emma and her friend down the street. Christy and Emma made me a "welcome home zoey" birthday cake and sang happy birthday to me. I slept through some of it on Dave's lap, but i feel very warm and cozy inside.

The work week was a blur and I was happy to have a quiet weekend. I passed out pretty hard on the couch with Dave and I could tell that Christy was taking photos of me while I was sleeping. I must have looked pretty funny, but I didn't care. I was so pooped!

Saturday morning I woke up to the muffled cry of Emma waking up. I got out of bed, did a quick stretch and ran to her door to tell her that we were on our way. Christy & Dave didn't come with me so I ran back to get them. Then we all went to get Emma out of her room. I ate a tiny bit of breakfast while Christy & Dave got their house ready for the home inspector to come and take a look.

Emma and I dressed up in our princess outfits and had a tea party. It was my first time and I loved it! It's nice to dress up like the princess that I am! I had a fun time playing with Emma and following Christy and Dave around the house.

There was some commotion in the morning because Christy and Dave had the home inspector come by and check the house. I was very protective of my new family and barked a lot to show them who was boss. They gave me lots of pets in return and Dave held me a lot while the people walked around my new house. Finally, they all left (but not before the home inspector put his foot through the ceiling via the attic and made a huge huge mess) and Dave sent Christy, Emma, and me outside so he could clean up the mess without us all breathing it in. It was fun to play outside. The backyard is totally fenced in but I didn't have any thoughts of wandering off.

Soon Dave joined us and we walked to the park to play. I had fun sniffing stuff but it was so muddy outside. Dave picked me up so I wouldn't get too dirty. I have a feeling I have them all wrapped around my little paw. ha ha ha ha. After the park we went home and I got a quick paw rinse off. I didn't mind it so much. Then we had dinner and watched a movie on the couch. Then it was time for bed!
